Typing a blog on a typewritter is tough!

At Upton House there's a long hallway with typewriters!

The National Trust property -Upton House- was most active during World War 2, the only way to write blogs was to do it by hand or write it out on a typewriter. It is hard! Not all the letter keys may work, it takes AGES and every time you want to start a new line you must slide the top back and then turn the nob at the side. Never mind when you make a mistake, it's tragic, you can't delete/backspace.

Nowadays, you can write in different colours, in different SIZES and in different fonts.       On a typewriter there's only black and red ink, one size of letters and the same font. What's worse is you can't insert images, (unless you stick it on afterwards) videos weren't invented, nor coloured photos. There isn't any capital letter function too, though you can use the shift key. Here's a message for you guys and girls in typewriter style:

Hello,

Today I'll be reviewing the ladies fashion magazine. Since it's all I can get my hands on. It seems flowered dresses are the best to wear now, in 1942, high heeled shoes and a sun hat above curled, bobbed hair. Knitted underwear is scratchy but a must to keep warm in the cold months. Thanks for reading.
