REVIEW The Queens Orang-utan by David Walliams.
I was told about this book by David Walliams, when I was watching TV. I got very excited, I got it and read it the day it came out!
One of my favourite pages is when the Queen has her portrait painted and the Orang-utan paints her too, the Orang-utans painting is only a blur but it goes up in the grand banquet hall and distant downstairs room (the loo).
My favourite character in this marvellous book is the royal baby because even though he's a baby he knows more than my teacher! This story is a special edition, it is for Comic Relief and even says on the cover 'at least £3.00 from the sale of this book will go to Comic Relief'.
I recommend this book to a person with a good sense of humour, even though this book is 'childish' I think adults and seniors should read it too. This is another imaginative story by David Walliams and I rate it a grand 10/10
Tony Ross' illustrations are as good as ever and really capture this funny story very well. I've always been a big fan of his illustrations, as you can see from the review below I have tried to copy his style from the book.
David Walliams has made a few of his books into TV films, I wonder how they would do this is a program. I also think that Emma Thompson should play the Queen and David as the Prime Minister if he could. 😏
